Welcome
NOTICE: Due to budget constraints, this program was discontinued at the close of the 2009-2010 academic year.
The WSU Center for Students in Recovery provided support and services for students who were in recovery from alcohol and/or drug addiction. Washington State University was one of only 9 universities in the nation to provide such a program. Though the program is no longer in operation, this website continues to serve as a helpful resource for those living the challenges of recovery from addiction.
One of the most difficult transitions in early recovery is the change from alcohol/drug using friends to non-using friends. This transition can be a lonely and high risk time for students. The Center for Student in Recovery (CSR) addressed this important issue by providing a safe community in which students could build sober, healthy relationships, while at the same time be involved in the mainstream of university life. Students received on-going counseling and services addressing relapse prevention, stress management, money management, personal relationships, and academic support, just to name a few.
